The reference density of seawater, :math:`\rho_o`, is set via its inverse, :varlink:`m3perkg`. The units of CO\ :sub:`2` concentrations here are mol/kg. :math:`[\mathrm{CO}_2^*]` is computed in :ref:`CarbonChemistry`.
